What is knee pain?

Knee pain is extremely common and affecting people of all ages and activity levels. Pain can be described as a dull, nagging ache or a sharp, hindering pain in or around the knee joint. Your knee is a complex hinge joint that connects your thigh bone (femur) your shin bone (tibia) by means of ligaments, tendons, cartilage, and muscles. The soft tissue components provide stability and control, playing a key role in functional movement.

When an injury occurs, sudden onset or gradual, you may experience

  • Aching or sharp pain inside or around the knee
  • Swelling and stiffness
  • Popping, clicking, or grinding sensations
  • Knee giving way or buckling
  • Difficulty walking, running, or climbing stairs
  • Pain that worsens with activity

What is ankle pain?

Ankle pain is a common condition that can affect any part of the ankle joint. It is a hinge joint that connects the leg to the foot, allowing us to walk, run and jump. Ankle pain can be, but doesn’t have to be, sustained from an injury. Causes can be arthritis or an autoimmune condition. Pain can be sharp, dull or achy and can be accompanied by swelling, redness or stiffness.

When an injury occurs, sudden or gradual, you may experience

  • Inability to walks or weight bear
  • Deformity or selling around the ankle
  • Pain at night or at rest
  • Inability to bend the ankle (reduced range of movement)
  • Signs of infection, such as a fever, redness around the ankle which may be hot to touch

What is foot pain?

Foot pain can range from mild to severe and can affect one or more parts of the foot, such as your heels, arches, soles and even toes. Your feet bear your weight when standing, walking and running. Because if this foot pain is common.

What is shoulder pain?

Shoulder pain is extremely common. The shoulder joint is a complex making it vulnerable injury and conditions, that can cause substantial pain. Shoulder pain describes any pain, stiffness, or discomfort you experience in or around the shoulder joint sustained from trauma, overexertion, overuse or degeneration. Your shoulder is a ball-and-socket joint made up of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.

When an injury occurs, sudden onset or gradual, you may experience

  • Pain within the shoulder joint
  • Pain that gets worse reaching up or outwards, or above shoulder height
  • Stiffness or reduced range of motion
  • Reduced strength
  • Pain down the arm
  • Difficulty when pressure is applied to the affected side

What is wrist pain?

Wrist pain is any pain or discomfort in your wrist joint and can be a symptom of many health conditions, often caused by sprains or fractures from unexpected injuries. However, wrist pain can also occur from long-term problems, such as repetitive stress, arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Pain can be sharp, dull or achy and can be accompanied by swelling, redness, bruising and stiffness.

When an injury occurs, sudden onset or gradual, you may experience

  • Painful tingling in your wrist or forearm
  • Discoloration or swelling in your forearms, wrist, hand or fingers
  • Wrist pain that lasts more than two weeks
  • Ulnar specific pain which is the side of your wrist that your pinkie is on
  • Radial specific wrist pain which is the same side your thumb is on
